Biography

Sophia Scott may originally hail from Boulder, CO, but the singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist found a home in Nashville, TN by continuing a time-honored tradition of storytelling with no shortage of gusto and grit. Showcasing her signature country sound, powerhouse vocals, and captivating storytelling, Sophia properly introduces herself on the much-anticipated debut EP releasing this June. The project juxtaposes deeply personal tracks with funky, danceable ones for a full dive into Sophia’s impressive and limitless artistic range which flows seamlessly through the country, pop, rock and R&B sounds that she grew up on. Recently named an “artist to watch” by PEOPLE Magazine, Scott also just inked a global publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music and Ross Golan’s Unknown Music Publishing and made her TV debut on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Prior to signing with EMPIRE Nashville, Scott amassed over 20-million streams and a fiercely engaged audience with her infectious singles including “Drink Too Much Wine” and “Side Effects,” viral YouTube covers, and more.
