Buddha Jones and the Man’s music is a unique blend of retro, psychedelic, and funk-driven elements. The band originally formed in 2013 as a two-piece with Adam on drums and Tito on guitar and vocals, but over the years, they’ve undergone various lineup changes and additions. Keyboardist Ed and percussionist Rudy joined the group in 2017, solidifying their current sound. When they needed a new bass player in 2018, they turned to their talented friend Jesse to fill the spot. Despite delays caused by tours, personnel changes, and the pandemic, the band finally released their first self-produced album, ‘The Poor Man’s Vamp,’ in 2022. They wasted no time starting work on their next album, ‘The Word,’ and have already shared two singles from it on YouTube and Spotify: a cover of Nina Simone and Tina Turner’s “Funkier Than A Mosquito’s Tweeter” and an updated version of an early track called “So Damned Desperate.” The band is currently putting the final touches on their third full-length record and can’t wait to share it with their fans.
