Subsuelo is a global bass crew from Los Angeles that brings together a borderless, genre-bending mix of retro-futuristic dance music from around the world.     Named “Best Dance Party” by LA Weekly, Subsuelo started as a neighborhood house party in 2011 and eventually grew into a 10-member creative collective, featuring a diverse squad of instrumentalists, vocalists, dancers, photographers, and visual artists.   In 2016, Subsuelo co-founded Calentura with LNL and iconic salsa label Fania Records. The critically acclaimed project opened the vaults of Fania’s historic catalog, remixing previously unreleased tracks from Latin music legends Celia Cruz, Hector Lavoe, and Willie Colón.   Over the last 10 years, Subsuelo has been featured in Billboard, Spin, ABC News and NPR, and toured across Latin America and the US, performing at Coachella, Boiler Room, Lightning in a Bottle, Supersónico, Red Bull Music Academy, and more.    Subsuelo currently hosts a weekly radio show on The World Famous KROQ 106.7 FM, which is also syndicated in 10 other major FM stations in New York, Miami, Dallas, and more. Recently guests on the show have included Juanes, Calle 13, Natalia Lafourcade, Gustavo Santaolalla, Zoé, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Draco Rosa, Bomba Estereo, C. Tangana, José González, and more.
