Land of Bees

Land of Bees

Land of Bees was formed by nature, then discovered by three friends in 2019. Laurita  Guaico, Brian Caviness, and Lane Campbell each bring their wide-ranging musical backgrounds. With a focus on vocal harmonies and acoustic instrumentation, they are inspired by the sounds of Fleet Foxes, The Roches, and Pentangle, as well as traditional folk music of all sorts, evidenced by Laurita’s charango (an Andean stringed instrument), a nod to her Chilean roots. Laurita has played with bands such as Relish and The Randies. Brian hails from Ohio, where he wrote and performed music with Megan Palmer, and spent a couple of years playing classical guitar. Lane, a native Californian, is surrounded by instruments daily as a music shop manager and has been writing and performing for years. The three share lead vocal and songwriting duties.

Since its discovery, two more have joined Land of Bees. Consummate musician and producer Jerry Andrews, longtime guitarist and collaborator with Maria McKee, creates solid ground on bass. Multi-instrumentalist Matt Leaver holds a steady course using all manner of percussion, including cajon. Produced by Jerry Andrews, their debut three-song collection, “No. 1” was released on June 17, 2022. Follow them on Instagram @landofbees_band for the latest buzz.
