Carmine’s take on West Coast Cali Soul is part of a genre-defining resurgence within the Los Angeles scene. Led by such voices Trish Toledo and Joey Quinones, both of which Carmine is a regular collaborator with. Carmine is such a natural when it comes to crafting his sound—having grown up in a Mexican household that paved for an array of diverse musical influences such as hearing his parents’ oldies mixed with traditional boleros, to his older siblings’ classic rock and heavy metal blaring through their car stereo. All of these sounds coarse through Carmine’s veins each time he takes the stage or enters the studio.
