Kurupi is DIY indie/punk music if it was made by a Latino kid in California who grew up on OutKast and Mac Dre. Hailing from the Northern California punk scene but now living in LA, 23 year old Kurupiman brings loud guitars and high energy verses into bedroom production. His recent EP, “Late Night Car Ride” has garnered attention with the title track landing on spotify playlists. The EP jumps around from soundscapes reminiscent of The Cure, to high energy instrumentals that would fit snugly in a 2000’s Halloween special. Kurupi is lined up to release his first album, No Esperes, later this year.
