Myrandas

Myrandas

MYRANDAS is a Latin urban band based in Los Angeles. The project originated in Havana and was founded by trilingual singer/songwriter Kristina Miranda and musician/Grammy-winning engineer Marciel Miranda. Initially recognized as a rock project, MYRANDAS transitioned to a new musical direction in 2022, incorporating Caribbean influences into their songs. The current lineup includes Cuban-Puerto Rican drummer Richard Herrera. The band blends Latin grooves, catchy guitar riffs, pop, and electronic music elements, offering a fresh perspective on the urbano genre. Drawing inspiration from artists like Rosalía, Bomba Estéreo, and Bad Bunny, MYRANDAS unveiled their new sound at NextFest 2022 at the LA County Fair. The band continued performing at festivals and popular tropical, dance, and Afro-Latin music events, including Subsuelo Sundays and La Junta. In 2023, they started releasing their Latin music, and received support from publications such as LA Times, Remezcla, and Hola! USA. The year 2024 began with MYRANDAS performing at the NAMM Show and their single “Cuéntale” becoming one of the main soundtracks of the Cuban telenovela “Viceversa”. In April, MYRANDAS was invited to participate in the LAMC virtual showcase, solidifying the band’s presence in the Latin music scene. On May 24th, MYRANDAS will release their debut Spanish EP “Nos Dejamos Llevar”. In anticipation of this record, they played at the Unidos en la Musica Latin American Festival in St. Augustine, FL on May 4th, opening for Fonseca. Later this month, on May 26th, MYRANDAS will return to the Nextfest stage with special guest violist Jeremy Jones to celebrate their new release.
