JNX (pronounced jinx) is a young hard rock band from Mariposa, CA — the gateway to Yosemite National Park. The band is comprised of trio Jonah Dacanay (lead guitar/vocals), Xavier Dacanay (drums), and Roger Dacanay (bass). Influenced by the greats such as Van Halen, Metallica, and Pantera, brothers Jonah and Xavier formed the band with the goal of keeping rock and heavy music fresh and alive. With their high energy riffs, shredding guitar solos, and in-your-face rhythms, JNX strives to inspire a new generation of rock fans!
Over the years JNX has performed in numerous community events, festivals, fundraisers, benefit concerts, and fairs — including The Butterfly Festival, The Big Fresno Fair, the Mariposa County Fair, the Alameda County Fair — in the mountain community surrounding Yosemite, Central California and the San Francisco Bay Area.
JNX has been rocking stages, opening for touring acts and performing in live music venues and events throughout California including the House of Blues in Anaheim, the One Love Music Festival in San Diego, and Fresno State University’s Vintage Days 50th Celebration. JNX has been receiving incredible response from audiences of all ages.
